What's new
Moonshot Daily Game changes a little almost every day. This page lists the updates players can see, newest first: new categories and answers, new modes and pages, and changes to how the game plays. The answer lists also grow quietly between these entries, as we review the real answers players give that the lists don't know yet.
Spotted a missing answer or a bug? Use the note link on the result screen, or write to support@moonshotdailygame.org.
- The Pokémon list now has every species in the National Pokédex, all 1,025 of them, so Dottler, Iron Jugulis, Vikavolt and Barbaracle count, along with forms like Bloodmoon Ursaluna. Thanks to the player who wrote in.
- The athlete list grew by about 110 names, most of them current NBA, WNBA and NFL stars such as Nikola Jokić, A'ja Wilson, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, as players asked.
- Crews: fly the daily flights with your friends. Start a crew and send the invite link, no account needed. The crew board shows who has flown each day, everyone's scores and streaks, and a crew streak for the days everyone flies. Once you've flown a flight yourself, you can see every answer your crewmates gave in it.
- Challenge a friend, answer by answer: the link you share now carries your flight. When a friend flies the same flight from it, their result screen shows a head-to-head card with both of your answers, orbits and points side by side, and which answers you both gave. It works for the daily flights, Home Turf and Unlimited, where the link deals your friend the same category.
- Fixed category names that read oddly, such as "Item Of Clothings" (now Clothing) and "Volcanos".
- The tech company list grew by 135 answers taken from what players typed on Day #4, from Nothing, Roku and Anduril to DeepSeek and Zepto, and now accepts names like ChatGPT for OpenAI and Xbox for Microsoft. Ice climbing and pogo stick joined the hobby list, both suggested by players.
- New guides: how rarity works, with a worked example from Day #3, and strategy for Hive Mind, Lone Star and Target Orbit.
- Every archive day now tells how the day went in each category: how many different answers players gave, what share of players gave the No. 1 answer, which answers climbed or slipped an orbit against our estimates, and how many Supernova answers were found.
- The archive index lists each day with its player and answer counts, grouped by month.
- The About page now explains where the answer lists come from and how they grow. New terms of use.
- The result screen gains a "How everyone answered" card: the day's top answers, where your answers ranked, the rarest finds and how many Supernova answers players found.
- The fleet is now in 3D. Each ship, from Spark to Nebula, is its own craft, and your newest ship is the one that flies. The launch pad became a seaside launch complex at dusk, and a short flight comes back down onto the pad.
- Added Rohingya to the language list and five rappers to the rapper list, all suggested by players through result-screen notes.
- 82 new categories joined the daily deck, including cocktails, Pokémon, Shakespeare plays, volcanoes and Greek myth, for 120 in all.
- The first big list update from real play: more than 600 new answers and extra spellings in 52 categories, taken from real answers players gave that the lists didn't know yet (tools, Disney movies, jobs, dog breeds, video games and more).
- A "Something off? Tell us" link on the result screen lets you send us a one-line note about a missing answer or a bug.
- Launched Home Turf: a daily rare-answer board for each of the US, the UK, Canada and Australia, with per-country leaderboards.
- A new look: the mission poster design and star chart. The rounds got their names: Hive Mind, Lone Star and Target Orbit.
- Our own Supernova picks in 62 categories.
- The route goes further: past Haumea, Sedna, Voyager 1 and the Solar Focus, out to Barnard's Star.
- From this day, the daily mission plays one category instead of two.
- Day #1. The daily flights launched with 38 categories, along with Unlimited, free and as often as you like.
- The answers archive opened: each finished day gets a page with its categories, top answers and rarest finds.
- Your answers fuel the rocket on the pad and it lifts off after the last one. Share your mission report on X.
