Home Turf: rare answers from your own country

Four local boards a day, one each for the US, the UK, Canada and Australia. Every board asks about something locals know best, and only the rare answers count. Play your own country, then see how well you know the others.

How Home Turf works

Each board is a single Lone Star round: 5 answers, 35 seconds each. Common answers still score a little, but the outer orbits pay most, and every category hides five Supernova answers worth 110. Everyone gets the same board on the same date, and rarity follows what players actually answer that day. Home Turf never touches your daily streak.

The four boards

Home Turf US: American astronaut, American beer brand, city or town in California, American car model (from Ford, GM, Chrysler/Stellantis brands, Tesla etc.) and more
Home Turf UK: British beer, ale or cider brand, British biscuit, castle in the UK, British cheese and more
Home Turf Canada: Canadian actor or actress, animal native to Canada (mammals, birds, fish etc.), Canadian athlete who isn't a hockey player, city or town in Atlantic Canada (NB, NS, PEI, Newfoundland and Labrador) and more
Home Turf Australia: Australian actor or actress, AFL or VFL player, past or present, Australian native animal (mammals, reptiles, amphibians), Australian athlete who isn't a cricketer or AFL player and more

Home Turf FAQ

What is Home Turf?

A daily mode with one local category per country: the US, the UK, Canada and Australia. You give 5 real answers hardly anyone says, and rare answers fly your rocket farthest.

Can I play another country's board?

Yes. Every board is open to everyone. Locals have the edge, but rarity is counted across all the players of that board, wherever they live.

Does Home Turf affect my streak?

No. Only the daily flights on the home page keep your streak going.

When do new boards arrive?

At midnight in your local time zone, the same as the daily flights.
